Efficient Encodings for Scalable Exploration of Cyber-Physical System Architectures

We present a methodology for scalable exploration of cyber-physical system architectures. propose mathematical formulation the architecture problem as an optimized mapping that includes joint selection topologies and components taken from pre-defined libraries. Using graph-based representation architecture, we introduce novel compact encodings constraints path significantly improve scalability formulation. use new to instantiate design requirements, such interconnection, routing, timing, energy constraints, on model. implement our methods in extensible toolbox, provide pattern-based language formal, yet flexible, requirement specification. Numerical evaluations set problems wireless sensor networks, reconfigurable manufacturing systems, electrical power systems demonstrate effectiveness approach.
